About Energy Literacy

logo energy literacy LARGE transparent

The El-Practice project aims to support young adults in enhancing their knowledge, skills, and abilities in sustainable energy use. A mobile platform has been developed to facilitate interactive distance learning as part of energy literacy training. The e-course is designed to promote energy literacy and foster behavioural change among young people, thereby contributing to the development of sustainable communities. The platform can be accessed here. Further information is available here.

The EL-practice project brings together 6 partners in order to cooperate in the field of energy literacy. A strong emphasis should be placed on strengthening environmental awareness also through informal education and capacity building as activities that "produce" environmentally conscious citizens.  Changing energy use habits is a key step in the fight against climate change.

The project responds to a need expressed by EU citizens, 91% of whom consider climate change to be a serious problem requiring appropriate action. In the 2020 Eurobarometer survey, as much as 83% of those surveyed considered education as a key premise for sustainable consumption and development.

The goal of the El-practice is to empower you with competencies, skills, knowledge and self-confidence when taking responsibility for their life choices and actively engaging in actions to create a sustainable society.

Target groups:

The project is financed under the Erasmus+ programme and will be implemented between 01.02.2022 and 31.03.2023.
