The 18th SDEWES Conference, which took place from 24-29 September 2023 in Dubrovnik, Croatia, emphasized increasing sustainability by de-coupling growth from natural resource use and facilitating a transition to a knowledge-based economy.

On Monday, 25 September, Ana Ulbin from MIITR presented empirical research based on the El-practice project, examining factors influencing energy literacy among young adults in Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, and Austria.

The findings provide a deeper understanding of dimensions of energy literacy and their interrelationships. Interestingly, a close interrelationship between energy related knowledge and energy related behavioural outcomes was observed, highlighting the importance of energy related education, and especially importance of energy related education linked to financial literacy.
